Hi Guys! I'm just new to this community, but I've been collecting gundams since 1996. And now I'm looking for an airbrush that is not too expensive, so that I can already paint my other gundams specially my PGs. Currently, I'm just using brush or can spray. Hope you guys can give me some tips, and also on using the correct paints and mixing them properly to get the desire color. Cheers!

tamiya spray works is one of the best ab in terms of performance and price. it already comes with a compressor so its an all-in-one set. you can purchase this at lil's megamall or makati for more or less than 5k only as far as i remember (but around 6k with the adaptor i think). its also easy to upgrade to a new or better ab - its compatible with all airbrushes of the tamiya brand. tamiya.com/english/products/74520basic_comp/basic_comp.htmyou can also check out mechapinoy for tips and advice on indulging the fancy and exquisite world of true airbrushing: www.mechapinoy.netwww.mechapinoy.net/forum(advance apologies, through. technically the server of the site is down as of the moment. please check it out every other time if u can.) thanks!

ask ko lang is it ok to use a compressor na pagn auto yun what they use for pumping air for the tyres. i think it's capacity is for 80 psi, and right now it's set on 50 psi. pwede ko kayang gamitin itong ganitong compressor? anong airbrush kaya?

Kinda not dude. 50 psi is strong na. Bka lang ibuga lahat ng paint mo, malakas na iun. If you have a certain dual action airbrush that can control it, baka pwede na din but maybe it will be hard to control it na, and as far as I know, the best working pressure level is 8-40 psi for hobby modeling.

oh ok, it has a guage naman eh so i could just leak muna yung hanging till i got to the desired psi.
now to find my big bros. airbrush. . .
about water based colors naman, is there a solvent or something that i can mix with it para medyo mas maganda ang kapit sa plastic?

bro, just read it somewhere lang na mas makapit daw ang lacquer sa plastic. di ako sure ha. read it lang. pero since, mag-a-airbrush ka, i think you should go on using GSI o TAMIYA colors na. makakatipid ka na rin if you use those with airbrush.
pero kung stick ka sa acrylic watercolors, spray-an mo na lang afterwards nang top coat to protect the paints.

dagdag ko lang... or you can spray it first with white or gray primer yung kit before mo apply yung acrylic watercolors para mas kapitan.

actually concern ko lang kasi if you thinned maige ng water yung acrylic colours eh it starts to run na sa plastics. altought that's good good for panel lining yeah maybe primed it first. . . kaso kakapal na yung coats ko nyan kasi pre-shading pa. . . well have to try and try and try. . . .
