im not a master in gunpla modeling but base on my snapping experience, its natural to have those white marks after removing the parts from the sprues . just sand them of using a fine grit sand paper to remove them.

hi guys, i'm just starting out with gundam model kits. i bought recently a bootleg to practice before i buy bandai. i use a diagonal cutter for big cuts and an ordinary nipper to trim the excess, i just notice i always get white marks on the plastic after cutting and its horrible and i dont want that to happen in a bandai kit. is there something wrong with the way i cut? is it the quality of the plastic of the bootleg? do i need some other side cutters? forgive my ignorance, any tip from you masters would really be appreciated. Thanks ^_^ ei man, i just use ordinary cutters: the trick is, do not cut the attachment point all the way using your side cutter. use a paper cutter (yellow in the pic) to cut the attachment point. it will still leave minimal marks. but better compared to using side cutters alone. hope this helps. cheers!

the white marks are normal for colored kits. i got mine too. here's some advice: try to rub the area with your fingers. you'll see what happens. ;D
