These were taken with my old man's camera. it has fully automated meter/spot focus with manual overide.. and other stuff over my head... Encounter 1Encounter 2PG Zaku IIIf you have some nice photo shots of your Gunpla feel free to post here... ;D (if you can downsize to 1024x768 or 800x600 so it won't be too big but still big enough to see details)

They're really nice. Good work. You built the diorama from scratch?

yes the diorama was done using one of old Gundam 1.5 that fell off and broken few joints... for the figures they are modified N scale figures...

The below are some of new photos I took with couple of my models. Will post the rest when I have to set up another temp photo studio(?).. Believe these look better than last ones though probably not having the correct white balance resulted them having the yellowish tint or so I think... pic 1pic 2pic 3pic 4pic 5pic 6pic 7pic 8pic 9pic 10pic 11pic 12ok. the last picture is not MG Gundam kit but rather MC Mazinger Z Heavy Duty version. This was the very first photo I took using this set up and thought it'd be shame to waste - sorry for the amount of dust on this guy. It was sitting on the shelf for last four years so... Next models I will take pictures are MG Sazabi, MG Zeta Plus A1, MG Zeta Gundam Kai, MG Gundam Kai ver. Ka, MG Gundam OYW w/ MAX shadow, MG Ramba Ral Gundam diorama... And still have couple more MG Gundam kits in the pipeline at the moment... plus repainting one of PG Gundam and Patlabour Ingram... In case you are interested the above pictures were taken two desk lamps on the kitchen table. Due to lack of experience with the digital SLR camera I set the incorrect white balance resulting yellowish tint. The images were then down sized to around 500KB with 1024 x 768 pixels and bit of cropping to get rid of unwanted background - our kitchen.

actually the pictures show too strong light resulting few areas losing any detail and due to incorrect white balance yellowish tint. And FoD issue that I need to sort out... After start doing this I've learnt a lot about macro shooting an found Gundam models especially PG kits are pregnant dog to get it right... Now I have utmost respect to those photographer who does all those photo shots for Hobby Japan and etc.

thanks I prefer the minimum weathering, not the hardcore like some modellers do nor the clean roll out finish apparently very popular at the moment among Japanese modellers...

thanks not to mention constantly looking up CD-ROM manual as well.. Nikon should've included the printed manual given how much they charge for this digital SLR... also I'm having difficulties finding web sites deals with taking Gundam model photo... and many of macro photography sites are deal with old fashioned SLR...

zeta kaitbh does look more like FSS influenced than anything else with the mega launcher... guess all it needs to complete the picture would be the jumbo size shield... from memory the guy who did Zeta design was the same person who did FSS mecha design or was I got completely wrong?
