I also got RJ grey primer today. It was originally P129.75 but it was on sale so i got 2 for P110.00 each. on to the questions: 1. Primer Curing - I would wait at least 30 minutes for it to cure if i was in a hurry. Usually I wait 24 hours. 2. About the red insinde - I think that this was masked and airbrushed. For a spray can, you may need to do some testing. Handbrushing is an option but you'll need to do several very thin coats.

Heres what i got.. Rj Dull Lacquer for top coat Rj Grey Primer Pylox Pure White ( 100 Pure white ) Im still looking for a vibrant red and anyone got an idea on what the blue the freedom sports.. and what color is its body exactly... coz i had in mind that i might repaint it with a flat black including that dark color on the wings.. how much time does a primer need to cure? I also have this question whats the easiest way to do that red inside.. hand brushing and masking or spray paint and masking ? for the exhaust port paint the whole aprt bright orange or neon orange first. after it dries plug it with tac or that yellow elmer's putty looking gum like stuff. OR play-doh na lang. ;D

Quick question: If you can simply go ahead and just do masking and spray paint/air brush the exhaust, when does someone go ahead and just do handbrush? Hmmm.... let me rephrase my question, when do you say that a part is too small for you to spray paint and then tell yourself, i gotta hand brush this part? Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! when you say to uourself 'bah..i'm too lazy to airbrush this part". Now if you're going to ask "is there a visible difference between an airbrushed tiny part and a handbrushed one?" YES. esp. parts that need a glossy finish or light colored shade like white or yellow. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to obtain a very flat and uniform surface like the base color/flatness of plastic? via A/B or spray cans ?

neodark 1. you can try Pylox FIRE RED color for the red.
2. i see you found RJ's Primer. btw, there's also a white-colored Primer. forgot which brand it is. if you use that Primer spray paint, be sure, to sand a little. you can feel the smoothness of the surface after you spraypaint it, just to be sure.
3. about the Freedom's knee exhaust. there's 2 ways: a.) if you're not in a hurry, you can mask the outside area, spraypaint it with red. then handbrush the black area. b.) if you're not in a hurry, you can handbrush the red first, then handbrush the black part area.
remember to let the paint dry first before you put any masking tape (Tamiya Masking) so it won't peel off.

i remember this part now... what i can do on that red part is... the black part is part of the internal frame, right? so you can spray paint the red area from the inside part of the armor, or you can just follow the usual set-up of masking the parts which not to be painted then paint away the red exhaust. or handbrush it from the outside of the armor. ;D
