hmm the pages here are too long so i dunno if this was asked:
i'm starting to use some mr.color paints already mixed/prepared that comes in small bottles from prepared 3 in 1 boxes.i noticed the consistency is much different from the gundam markers(they're both the same mr.color products right?) so when i use them does it need to be diluted?i noticed it dries easily after a few brush dabs here and there. its been 4 yrs since i stopped gundam modelling so sorry if i'm asking this ;D

Industrial thinner for enamel and water/denatured alcohol for acrylics. just a reminder guys, that if you use Industrial Thinner and not the brand-type thinners like Tamiya, etc. always remember that there's 2 type of Industrial Thinner. the Lacquer Thinner and Thinner for Enamel. i think it's called plain Paint Thinner. tama ba? hmm the pages here are too long so i dunno if this was asked: i'm starting to use some mr.color paints already mixed/prepared that comes in small bottles from prepared 3 in 1 boxes.i noticed the consistency is much different from the gundam markers(they're both the same mr.color products right?) so when i use them does it need to be diluted?i noticed it dries easily after a few brush dabs here and there. its been 4 yrs since i stopped gundam modelling so sorry if i'm asking this ;D bro, question. when you said mixed/prepared, are these new paints? or mixed paint that was repackaged later? if it's new, i think you still need to dilute it. since you said that a few dabs, it gets dries easily. or try to shake the bottle first. baka natuyo na. in case if it's an old stock.
and can you post a picture of the paint or the correct brand name, or name of the paint bottle, so we can search the internet regarding the paint you have. TIA.

hey chuckles. gundamcolor is made by GSI. i think what you have is a package paint for the freedom. and like normal paints, it's ok to dilute them first. not sure if that is a water-based paint. hope someone can tell us if that's a acrylic based or lacquer based. if it's acrylic, you can dilute it with water or thinner or denatured alcohol like delta said earlier. but if it's lacquer, you have to dilute it with lacquer thinner. industril lacquer thinner will do.

i noticed when i was cleaning the brush using a Tamiya Thinner the paint didnt bleed off unlike the gundam markers.the paint sort of broke off into tiny chips. thinking if thats enamel or acrylic?

hi delta408 what brand of industrial thinner do you use for enamel? im going to use enamel for "wash" panel only, thanks Hi tobatz, I have not tried enamel thinner yet. My suggestion was based on what I read in another forum. My info about what to use for thinning enamel paint could be wrong as I'm relatively new to Gunpla modelling. I do have experience in miniatures painting but I still used acrylics.

Got a question on clear coats, i tested it on 1 armor part using Rj Clear Laquer spraying 2 thin coats with 24hours between coats with no direct lighting the coating is perfect but viewed closely and direct light i can see small bumps that are easily felt is this a result of a industrial based spray can, improper spray application,n00bness or the lack of wetsanding ( using 2000grit )

neodark did you spray it under direct sunlight? the thing with spraypaint cans, you have to spray it under the sun. the weather these days is not applicable of spraypainting if there's no sun. malamig. unless you'll do your own lighting. mainitan yung paints baga. you have to put the can first in basin filled with hot or warm water before using. the reason is to warm the agent/paint in the can. 'tumitigas ang pintura pag malamig.' let's just say 'nagkakaron nang cause ang humid sa loob nang lata.' that's why we get some bubbles during spraying. namumuo. this is applicable to Top Coats too.
also, be sure you leave the warm water basin beside you, so you can put the spraycan after you finish 'in-between' spraypainting.
and if ever you're spraying under the sun, be sure to distance yourself from the kit, so you're sweat will not fall on your precious gundam kits. hehehe. ;D
do some test first on extra parts using this method. and after spraypainting, leave it for an hour under direct sunlight. check it if the coat level itself or it's still the same like the ones you mentioned.
hope that helps.
