it's ok to use that too, bro. i remember doing the same thing before. but i prefer to widen the female connectors. i think it will depend on everyone's preferences. and in the end, you will still glue them together, right? I've done your style but it's easy mis-align them later specially when the glue already sets and you didn't notice the movement. My solution is cutting the the length of the male peg in half in an angle. The bottom keeps the round cylinder shape while the tip has a point. The angle faces the inside of the part so the plastic will not move during dry-fitting, keeping it snug enough to see any areas for further work and it's easy to disassemble since you don't have a fitting peg already. One smal question. My gundam panel marker (GM01) has a split end. Does this really happen over time or was it because of me putting the wrong cap on it? Over-time it will split but you can still nip some off you can very carefully. It's preferable not to put too much pressure when using these type of pens, a few passes will give the same result.

Not sure if this has been posted but if you're looking for a cost effective alternative for Gundam markers, go to National Bookstore and find this item: Uni brand pigment ink pen.
It's basically the black gundam marker under a different brand and I've used the .1 for years. 2 weeks ago, I've rechecked and .05 is now available (same tip as fine gundam markers). The price is only P52 versus 120/150 for gundam markers.

I was painting my SD V2 Assualt-Buster's red foot with arylic paint when I noticed the white paint turning pink. Can sombody tell me what I did wrong? I didn't think somebody will have the same problem as I did before (a few years back) with my 1/100 HG Gundam Wing 00; but then again this problem didn't come-up often enough. I already consulted with Finescale Modeler Forums along time ago and nobody believed me that Bandai is using a pigmented plastic that leaks its red pigment to paint applied over it. I was even using Tamiya enamels. So here's what you can do about your situation:- Apply a matte coat as sealer or better yet use a plastic primer.
I haven't tried applying the primer before because I found out that I can thin correction fluid and apply it like paint. And since then I haven't seen Bandai use the red plastic in a part where white paint is being applied and I stopped getting SDs and 1/144s. You can get any local spray plastic primer in hardwares for around 100 petot which comes in grey, light grey and sometimes white or you can use the Mr. Primer which Lil's sell. Cover the parts that you really need to apply a different color over so you don't have to remove extra primer overspray. Good Luck

The correction fluid thing may also help.

The correction fluid method is really flat and dries so fast to even things out so thin it as much as you can handle, too runny and it will not stick to the plastic... Good Luck

Can anybody tell me what the clear touch markers are used for? They seem to be the only ones left whenever I look for GMarkers.

Have any of you guys experienced having adhesive tape redue left over on you prieces after painting? How do you remove it?
Also, when you guys apply top coat, do you apply it on the model as a whole, by segments(torso, limbs, head, etc), or individual parts?

Adhesive tape residue can be remove by kerosene. Use a piece of cotton and gently wipe it off.

Also, when you guys apply top coat, do you apply it on the model as a whole, by segments(torso, limbs, head, etc), or individual parts? try using masking tape instead, especially the alligator brand (available at nsb)... it masks effectively yet peels sans sticky residues... as for the top coat, that depends on how you'll make use of your kit... if you have decided for a final "pose-and-forget" displaying, build the model, pose it and apply top coat... but if you intend to have it re-posed overtime, better to apply top coat to parts prior to assembly...
