if you can si assemble the parts, you can try washing of the panel lines with soap and water, if you used the markers for your panel lines ha or a water-based paints.

I didnt know if it was waterbased because I bought the kit 2nd hand already. But Ive saved all your tips on a NOTEPAD just to make sure. @ no3ljm: Sana nga bro mabura ng thinner lahat ng hassle sa buhay. hehehe. *joke* -GRIMM

try first with eraser, yup pencil eraser, kung di makuha sa eraser then that's paint na.
others swear thwt clorox do wonders, babad lang rin daw, same as what they do pag tanggal ng coating na metallic.

Im just afraid that the glossiness of the plastic might also wear off if I remove the paint thru brake fluids and other chemical stuff... But... here's to hoping *closes eyes, pours clorox, kneels down and pray* -GRIMM

I agree with you both. Gloss kinda makes the kit looks more like "plastic" while matte or flat makes the details stand out. (is that correct? ) Hahaha. ;D -GRIMM

yup. that is correct. hehehe. ;D i prefer flat on Gundam kits. but right now, i'm using both coats on my Red Frame. may mga parts na flat at most of the parts naman are gloss. it looks nice by the way.
but with my upcoming HG kits, i will use flat for final topcoat.

I still can't perfect the panel lining using an enamel paint. Oh well, practice some more.

Hello, since you guys are in the topic of using paints and stuff, a friend of mine wants to buy Gundam Markers for his brother as a gift. His 13-year old brother is also into Gundams. Maybe someone here can give any idea how much a marker or set would be? Thanks!

ikabod: I keep messing up even w/ top coat, I must get this on! ;D Hello, since you guys are in the topic of using paints and stuff, a friend of mine wants to buy Gundam Markers for his brother as a gift. His 13-year old brother is also into Gundams. Maybe someone here can give any idea how much a marker or set would be? Thanks! Dude, a marker costs 100+ when I bought one there in Lil's Futaba months ago. I bought a set of 5 here w/c costs $18 almost P900-1000. But I saw a cheap set (whether it is a basic set, weathering set, real touch, etc) for only $12.99 check gundamstoreandmore.

Thanks! hey matt. i think a 6pcs Gundam Marker set will cost you P700-P900. depends on the store, bro. try to look in Lil's Futaba, STC or GT. i think i remember GTmakati has a set before. i just don't know how much in GT. hope that helps bro.

From my thread (Vic's Gundam Hangar) Here's the simple tool I used for paneling... This is Sumire Gray Gundam Marker (Now I will never underestimate the power of a Gundam Marker, it really helps me on detailing the kit). To help you guys interested, here's the marker number... And paneling time... Grooving the lines... ...all you need to clean the mess, a cotton bud. Just try to dip it a little bit on the water, this will help clean the unnecessary marks. No need to use the alcohol or thinner w/c can cause ripping up the paint. BTW, no top coat yet, easy to clean coz the base is glossy though after airbrushing, it feels like matt finish. Ope you can see the difference... Tried on this too... Ope this helps to you guys, but again, there are LOTS of ways to do paneling. vic01
