;D I just can't help it...........please turn away for the potential SPOILER I have to share...........................
Chronologically, it is supposed to be Superman V. But given the last two clunkers ( in deference to the dear departed Christopher Reeve) 3 and 4, the producers are handling the former as an "alternate universe".
We all know by now that Lois Lane has a child in this flick. The mystery is who is the father right? Come on, this is the most obvious..................................
Rewind: Red Kryptonite radiation chamber in Superman II temporarily deprived Kal-El of his powers which then allowed him to sow some wild oats with Lois which...................'nuff said.

come on guys... give Brandon Routh a break. let him prove that he can play the part. hehehe. ;D yup, he looks kinda gay or soft to portray Superman. but aren't we all get tired to see Superman as this super-uber masculine tough guy? it's too conventional. remember he plays 2 characters. no, make that 3 characters pala. clark/kal-el/supes. and remember, Christopher Reeves also received bad publicity during the casting of Superman I. that he doesn't fit to play Superman. and during that time, all they think of is George Reeves as the perfect Superman. in our generation, we think Chris Reeves is THE perfect Superman. who knows tomorrow. maybe, our kids will say, Brandon Routh is THE perfect Superman. ;D
with spoilers naman... some forum says that the kid with Lois might be the son of Richard White. in the movie the last name of the kid is 'White'. so maybe Lois is supposed to be the 'future' mommy. meaning, Richard White is a single-parent.
btw, i'm more excited to watch Kevin Spacey's potrayal of Lex Luthor. i think he had fun/enjoyed doing the role.

kevin spacey is an awesome actor and i did love his short but memorable cameo in austin powers 3. curious about his portrayal of luthor too. i dun really want him to do as gene hackman did in the classic films cause luthor came out really crass and din do justice to the genius he was. best luthor i've seen is still from the wb cartoons.

agreed bro. but the Lex in WB cartoons were too serious. alam na alam mong bad guy kaagad sya. i like Lex as this genius, smart, witty with twisted evil genius persona. with 2 personalities. have you watch an episode of Smallville? i like Michael Rosenbaum's potrayal of Lex there. he can sympatize sometimes and he can be this mean/evil person with a hidden agenda.
i think Kevin Spacey will do justice playing Lex. they pick some classic Gene Hackman wit & add more depth/seriousness of the character. in which the Gene/Lex character lacks off.
oh well... 4 more days to go... ;D

agreed. rosenbaum does a great lex luthor since originally clark and lex were pals before luthor develops this envy and turns into the luther we see in the wb cartoons. smallville also gives us an idea where he got all the personality from in the person of his dad lionel luthor. great villain. another reason to see the movie is the rumoured transformer trailer to be shown with it.

hmm. doesnt the "S" logo look too small?

it is.. it's just one of the many differences with the christopher reeve version or even the comic book version... aside form the smaller "S" shield (and a different actor playing superman ;D), some differences i spotted include the ff. 1) different shade of red 2) low cut boots 3) "S" shield on the belt 4) "S" shield on the back of his boots 5) "S" shield is not printed on the uniform... it looks like it was sewn on top of the uniform... 6) Superman Returns "S" shield design itself is different from previous "S" shields... ... pls. add more ... ...and it would please you to know that the "S" shield on his chest is made up of numerous tiny "s" shields ... hmm. doesnt the "S" logo look too small?

add ko lang, bro.
7) there's no "S" shield on the cape. 8) the new suit is "close-neck" compare to Chris Reeves and George Reeves. 9) the brief is more of a 'bikini' type. low-cut din. 10) the hair. Brandon Routh's version have the same "HATI". while in Chris Reeves version, when he's Superman, the "HATI" is on the left side. while he's Clark, the "HATI" is on the right side. IMHO, Chris Reeves double "HATI" method is a lot better. mas mahirap mahulaan na sya si Superman. hehehe. ;D

Nope. the kid isn't White's child. Remember the whole "amnesia" schtick Kal El did to Lois? Heck it all kinda sounds like that of the conception immacculada if you ask me.
And one more thing, in the old DC comics (silver age superman), Luthor's hatred for the man of steel originated way back during his Smallvile years as Superboy. Kal-El accidentally caused Luthors alopecia. In Smallville, same thing only under different circumstances but still it was a subliminal hatred if you really dig back. The crash of the spacecraft that brought Kal-El also caused the explosion of (radioactive?)materials.
