i hope they don't make it too 'realistic'. i remember reading a proposed movie plot two years ago. Cobra doesnt have a mask and GI joe is made up of 5 members only something like that.

guys according to the March '07 issue of ToyFare they wanted (for fun i think) the ff famous actors and actress in the upcoming GI Joe movie:
Angelina Jolie as the Baroness
Tony Jaa (if you know the movie Ong Bak) as Snake Eyes
Gary Oldman (Batman Begins, 5th Element, etc)
as Cobra Commander
Jennifer Garner as Scarlett
seeing the link about the "movie" i think thats Aragorn of LOTR (Viggo Mortensen) as...Duke..
Kevin Spacey (Lex Luthor in Superman Returns) or Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin: Spiderman 1) could be Destro

great casting attempts/rumors but I never like Kevin Spacey or Willem Dafoe for Destro but I would love to see Jason Isaacs play Destro. Remember him in Black Hawk Down? I've always thought of Destro as a black dude with a chrome mask when i first saw him in the cartoons. well...he sounded like one diba? But when i read the comics i learned that he's scottish.

The British actress will play the film's female lead, described as a "raven-haired baroness and sexy femme fatale skilled in espionage". Stephen Sommers (Revenge of the Mummy) directs Paramount's live-action film based on the Hasbro toys. The movie is expected to be a big-budget production so the casting is a rather curious one, considering Sienna Miller is probably best known for being naked more often than clothed (link). She most recently appeared in 'Stardust'. Paramount has set a February start date, though this could change depending on what happens with the strike. It currently has a release date of August 7, 2009. |
