@mac Yes! thank you so much sir mac for the tips and for the tutorial site you gave! ;D
So all I need are tamiya acrylics (silver and clear green?) and a tech-pen...
Is it okay if I paint-brush it instead of using spray paint? which would you prefer?

@intohimo Well, I tried brushing the eyes of my Exia Gundam (since the eyes are a part of the face on 1/144s) and it has good results. I guess it will be fine to paint brush it. ;D

How much is an air compressor? And what brand is compatible with a Badger single action AB? I'm planning for my 2nd airbrush (my first is long gone and it's a cheap single action) soon so here's what I can suggest. Check the manual for your airbrush on how much air pressure it can handle. Check the manufacturer's web site for more details. NBS, Deovir and so on have compressors that will suit your needs but be ready to shell out almost the same price as a new Badger airbrush since these are expensive. Most compressors are gauged high so you need a few additional parts (if they are not included yet) like pressure gauge and sometimes a moisture trap. Anybody have tried using clear or semi clear coat spray for the gold internal parts? Does it look good? Also is it safe to use the gold metallic marker which can be bought in national bookstore for P50 for the internal parts? Another quick question since I'm here as well Where can I buy cheap tamiya flat coat spray? I usually buy at lils hobby shop at P220 a piece. Any place cheaper than that? If you're planning to use the gold markers sold in NBS DON'T use acrylic epoxy spray paint like Mr Surfacer, Bosny or others because this will dull the metal finish you may want to achieve. I haven't tried Mr. Top Coat (plain acrylic spray paint) on the marker but does have a better effect over metallic paints. Tamiya Flat Coat is 220 petot? I bought Gunze spray paint clear for 300 petot... I should have known Tamiya's cheaper... Anyhoo, try Bosny for 130 petot for the clear flat, it does great effect but be aware that it is created for large area painting so you have to do some trial and error... on other plastics first... Matte and Flat coats can defuse the metallic finish depending on the material... like silver chrome becoming aluminum in appearance. Is it okay if I paint-brush it instead of using spray paint? which would you prefer? If you're going for the brush make sure you get it even because clear paints have a habit of not being consistent even if you thin it out. Practice before doing the final painting.

@mac & GaneHmmm another question guys for the clear paints.. I was a little bit curious on the painting tip tutorial website that sir mac gave me: www.fichtenfoo.com/02GiantRobots/02c-lenses.html The featured modeler actually mixed Isopropyl Alcohol onto the clear paints... Have you guys ever tried this technique before?

Have you guys ever tried this technique before? The isopropyl alcohol is used as "thinner/diluent" for acrylics paints the counter part of enamet paint thinner. Others use water but alcohol is probably cleaner since water can have minerals unseen to the naked eye that can affect the paint somehow... if you're using enamels then you shouldn't use alcohol... Q Anybody bought Tamiya pla-plates? HLJ list says the price is for a set of 5 pieces, does Lil's and STC sell them by 5s or singles and how much?

question:
are Robot Damashi Gundam 00 the same size as HG00 1/144 kits?

nope.
although they're noticably bigger than MSiAs, they're still around 10-20% smaller compared to the hg00 series.

@intohimo genji is right. I use isopropyl alcohol (75%) as thinner for my acrylics. Although the tutorial I gave you recommends 90% alcohol, 75% is enough to thin the paints. GaneI see. Thanks for the tip on the air comp bro. I need to tighten up my pockets again I see <sigh>...
