Super Robot Chogokin Mazinger Z 2013 reissue version The reissue is priced pretty cheap, it was too good to pass up. ) Also, my first SRC Mazinger is a little floppy. I’m happy to report that the reissue version has good, tight joints and everything is here, with the exception of the silly Styrofoam rock base. I also picked up the reissue Great Mazinger. Nothing really different with the figure from the first release version as far as I can tell. The joints on my first version were nice and tight, the reissue version also has good solid joints. Gold

Hi gang, here's a quick look at the Super Robot Chogokin Mic and Piggy and Big Order Room part 4 set. Piggy She has miminal articulation. Mic also has minimal articulation. The bad news is that there is ZERO diecast in this set, including the figures…. Super Robot CHOGOKIN, huh? It also bugs me that Bandai cheaped out and didn’t include Mic’s mobile stage, the Studio 7 and any options to modify Mic’s eye expressions just like in the cartoons. I guess it’s possible that the missing accessories will come with Mic’s Full Form later on? Plastic version of the Key of Victory. Just like in the diecast version that came with FuuRyu and RaiRyu, the backside of this key has no engraving. Quite a far cry from the real (diecast) key, no? The Big Order Room. When the human members of 3G aren’t in the Big Order Room (meaning the Main Order Room is at the top of GGG Tower), the setup looks like this. Once the Main Order Room descends, it completes the layout of the Big Order Room. Main Order Room area and control consoles for the human staff of 3G Sooo… Big Order Room… ….or New York Stock Exchange Trading Floor? You decide! Images from here: www.newyork-som.com/?p=369For some added fun, Bandai threw in the Goldion Hammer approval key plate. Turning the key counter-clockwise will slide the release “locks” and at the same time, sink the key slot. Afterward, turning it back to the original position (clockwise) will pop the key back up, neat. I was a bit let down, that the monitors are fixed in position, I was kind of hoping they could move. I really hope we get Goldy Marg in the this line to complete the team. It’s becoming a real drag how many SRC figures are being revealed at Tamashii Events and we just have to cling to hope that the toy actually makes it out. Sigh… Hmm… I never realized the humans were this small next to the 3G mecha? The equivalent of Hamsters? Maybe the scale is wrong? Funfact : Back in the day, Takara did release a Big Order Room for their toyline. But it was a papercraft, mail-away promotional item. BTW, for folks who are trying to find the Grand Glorious Gathering version of the Gaogaigar Final OVA and Project Z 11-minute teaser, someone uploaded them last month (Aug 2013) on Youtube. Gold

Hi all, here's a quick look at Super Robot Chogokin Shin Getter One. Opening Sequence one Opening Sequence two Shin Getter One in action! Battle Wing! Getter Scythe! Since we don’t get a Tomahawk for the SRC Shin Getter One, using the (diecast) Tomahawk from the Aoshima figure works. Getter Beam (requires parts swapping with the abdomen plate). Stoner Sunshine Shin Getter 1 also has an attack called the Tomahawk Lancer, where the Shin Getter launches a barrage of Tomahawks all at the same time. Comparisons With the Aoshima Shin Getter One With the Soul of Chogokin OVA Getter One and Getter Dragon Admittedly, the Aoshima still looks better in terms of size when placing the OVA Getters together, but the SRC isn’t too shabby either. The Good-Diecast parts --Lower legs --Upper Torso --Shoulder and groin joints -The weigh in : -SRC Shin Getter One – 263 Grams -SOC OVA Getter One – 401 Grams -SOC OVA Getter Dragon -450 Grams -Aoshima Shin Getter One -613 Grams -“Pull out” joints almost everywhere to give wider range of articulation! The shoulders even have double pull out joints! Amazing! -Innovative engineering in the hands, they’ve included a notch for the Shin to properly hold onto the scythe. This design also prevents the Scythe from “spinning” around in place while it’s being held. Bandai designers’ ingenuity never fails to impress. -Metal pin for the Scythe. I’m pretty sure I would’ve snapped off the peg by now if it were plastic. The Bad-No Getter Tomahawk! -Lack of a left “open palm” hand -A Stoner Sunshine Effect part would’ve been nice -Awkward neck joint, when you lean the head extremely forward, a secondary joint will appear on the nape, leaving a huge gap where the neck is. It’s cool in that the head can lean so forward, but it looks weird from the back. -“Closed Wing” accessory would be nice. The UglyWell, nothing really terrible with this release. But the missing accessories do seem like something Bandai can release later on as bundled weapons pack later on (wishful thinking). I think if ever there was an issue with the toy it would be the super tight backpack for the Battle Wing. Taking it off for returning to the box was a pain. I think this is a regular issue with “backpack” clip-on design? As I’ve previously encountered this problem with the SRC Gunbuster Shield / cape accessory. I don’t know, it just feels like it’s harder than it has to be. Hopefully Mazinkaiser won’t have this problem with the Kaiser Scrander when he rolls out in November. Funfact : Getter Robo Armageddon was originally started in 1998, lol… which means it took Bandai 15 years to finally release a figure based on the toy. Funfact 2 : In the entire run of the series, Go uses the Getter Scythe more often than the Getter Tomahawk, while when Ryoma pilots the Shin Getter 1, he only uses the Scythe once and it was only mentioned in a quick scene (we don’t even see the Scythe). Diecast content (Seems ... fair) Also DYNAMIC OPTION PARTS SET??? Let's hope it comes with the stuff that was originally meant for Mazinger Weapons pack #2 and not just a Tomahawk in a box. Gold

Uhhh... next SRC? ? At first I thought it was a joke but I think it's legit. It's Kantam Robot (name closely resembles "Gundam") and is a show in a show? From the Anime Shin Chan. Geez, we're not getting SRC SRWs or Gaofighgar but instead we get this??? Gold
