Yeah I'm not feeling it too... just have to wait if it grows in me though... I bet the first set of model kits will have 3 variants and not 1 kit with 3 variants (3in1)... that's going to be a wallet buster... And prolly because of the popularity of GPB, Bandai is now targeting younger audience and modelers... Anyway here's a sketch of the new Gundam Age-1... gundamguy.blogspot.com/2011/06/coco-manga-x-gundam-gundam-age-new.html

what seems to be a preview of the AGE: now it gives me mega/rockman vibes plus the lack of a "traditional v-fin" is somewhat wierd. and somehow the chest design reminds me of this unit.

Another mech that will rock the Gundam world of it's pedestal? The Turn A was mustachioed now a horned Gundam, I'm sorry but that doesn't come as a V-fin anymore LOL not really my choice but that's one mech I don't want to see again... I referred to a Gear Fighter Dendoh mech chest which sports the same color and an uncanny similarity in design (only chest area so don't flame...)... 1.bp.blogspot.com/_uhAVIQRB_8Y/SVChkTvFXaI/AAAAAAAAF9k/PkPaUHsg7ZM/s400/GF_Dendoh_2.jpgSome large scans of the main character and possibly the enemy mech which reminds me of a Gundam Seed BuCue Hound... www.gunjap.net/site/?p=15379

And the promo video is here: Screens from this PV www.gunjap.net/site/?p=15617Arigato Gozaimasun to RainerO's post we now have a confirmation on the model kits and more... hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=756461/144 Pics www.gunjap.net/site/?p=157641/48 Pics www.gunjap.net/site/?p=15754Here's the lowdown: - The series is in AG or Advanced Generation - I don't know which scale has it but definitely the GB 1/100s have Gage-ing Chips that will interact with the Gage-ing Battle base and Gage-ing Haro Ball, but not the Age Device, - The Gundam Age-1 will be 125cm tall at 144 scale making it barely 5 inches (4.9") tall, not bad... FYI this also translates to having the Gundam Age-1 stand at 12.5m tall (I'll leave the guessing to you...) - We have 5 variants of mechs (I don't know if they are all Gundams), and this just in, Age-2 and 3 have different pilots so basically there are 3 variants with 3 different pilots but Age-1 can change to 2 or 3... - A new Grade System called AG or Advanced Grade which will be used for all the 1/144 scale kits in this series and will come with an internal skeleton system where the "skin" armor will cover leaving the need to worry about the polycaps because there seems to be none here, - 1/100 scale kits will be called GB or Gage-ing Builder... funny how it sounds like Gundam Age-ing Builder, the Gundam for Aging builders... LOL -1/144 scale AG are Y600 (P 300), 1/100 scale GB are Y 2800 (P 1400), check Gundam Guy's link below for more details on different Gundams and pricing, release date will begin in October, - Gundam names are Gundams Age-1 Normal, Age-1T Titus, Age-1S Sparrow, Genoace and the enemy mech Gafran, - the MG kit is more likely intended for seasoned modelers... It's funny how they are making these kits more kid friendly than usual leaving the rest of older modelers with MG if they want a challenge. The Gundam Aging Builder Line, pun intended, will make aging modelers to look like kids using building blocks... I hope I'm wrong but the popularity of these kits will depend on the anime and how the audience will accept it... looks like a female gundam to me. ...just put hair extensions and you have a sister of nobel gundam. but that's just me. In one poster the Gundam AGE-1 does look like it has female torso... The series is getting so much negative reactions online, I wonder why Bandai gave it a go with all the support and new model kit techniques too... This is a wait and see issue and I for one am curious why Bandai is adamant in releasing this...

Bandai is used to the negative criticism during any pre-show release. We used to hear the same thing, mostly from hardcore U.C. fans, when Gundam 00 was first announced and we all know how that turned out....

Bandai is used to the negative criticism during any pre-show release. We used to hear the same thing, mostly from hardcore U.C. fans, when Gundam 00 was first announced and we all know how that turned out.... Yeah, but I believe this is the the second Gundam series where they have released a statement regarding their moves to support the franchise, one being the Turn A Gundam. Anyway, it's no big deal really, I already have 50/50 chances of liking this new series before I give it a fail... it's no Gundam Wing, Seed or 00, but hopefully it grows in you... So for now let's enjoy a few pix and vids from the recent Tokyo Toy Show: - a human size figure of the AGE-1 - videos of the AGE devices and mega size model - Gachapons/capsule toys including SDs - head collection - and a sort of building blocks, sectionals of the 3 variants sold separately - the 144 having 1 microchip while the 100 has 4 (or more) gundamguy.blogspot.com/2011/06/international-tokyo-toy-show-2011.htmlHere's Gunjap's everything you need to know about the Gundam Age series: www.gunjap.net/site/?p=16147On a side note and since it's on the same page in Gundam Guy's blog: Revoltech DotM Optimus Prime... looks very impressive with his ginormous weapon which I suppose we will not be getting in any Hasbro iteration any time soon... and the best part is it's priced at Y3800 (roughly 1900 + dues and all that crap)... but it's still a good deal if you can't afford the hassle of building the Dual Model Kit....

everybody criticized the freedom gundam when the lineart came out.
however, everybody was in awe over its animated performance.
lets just wait and see how it goes. 1st time for everything i'll say.
okay. that "spoiler" on the back really has to go though.

Ditto, it's hard enough to wait but wasting more time thinking of ways to critic something that's barely sinking into you is nonsensical.
It's just like the Spongebob phenomena, everybody hated it but once it got through to them they loved it so much it made Nickelodeon make more of the series and a movie...
Anyway, when the series does come, whether we like it or not there's nothing we can do but enjoy it or wait for the next installment... either way Bandai will have to move things in a way to appeal better to the plamo world... a bad series in a bad economy is not really a good business anyway...
Anyhoo, nothing new is going around so we'd probably wait again for more news...
