don't think there's any decent DC emulator on PC that could run DC disc since it's GD-ROM - the format your everyday CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver won't handle...
no idea with iso and etc. since I've never dealt with such

Sentinel was created specifically for veteran gundam fans and gunpla modellers. It didn't targeted the mainstream audience unlike most gundam series (Seed, Wing... etc.). It's gunpla line did well considering it wasn't animated nor released in manga form.
IIRC, Bandai does not own the rights for Sentinel. Model Graphix does.

It's gunpla line did well considering it wasn't animated nor released in manga form. IIRC, Bandai does not own the rights for Sentinel. Model Graphix does. from what I was told after spending considerable amount of time and money for Sentinel lines - i.e. fully transformable S-Gundam, Ex-S for example - the result wasn't enough and the people responsible for the porject were moved to another division to take the responsibility/blame...

it depends if a particular item made or didnt make much profit under certain conditions:
- the item is slow moving. - the item is placed on a sale page - like HLJ's or placed under a bundle/package deal. - stocks of the item is VERY easy to acquire. during the first few months of release, most sentinel kits are under "no stock" status at hlj and hobbysearch (heck, even here in GT stocks we so scarce for months!). the reason why the stock is available right now is because the demand has died down and batch production has replenishes it gradually.
and besides, as beni implied model graphix owns rights to the sentinel designs. bandai's just doing a favor to them by providing master grade kits to fans of the designs. its like "you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours".
besides, its rather obvious that bandai's doing that kind of stuff again - this time with the AOZ series. note the release of the hazel custom and hazel advanced PLUS the hrududu parts which sell like halo-halo on a hot summer day.

that maybe be true but still Bandai has to sunk considerable amount of money to tool the moudling... you cannot just walk into the shop and buy such.. and given the complexity of MG S-Gundam/Ex-S it's obvious Bandai sunk a lot of money into it...

believe me or not, people in japan have a lot more money than you think. its a different world there. even in here a lot of people have been walking into gt and buy it, and have been "begging" for it when it was out of stock.
and besides, bandai caters to its market in japan first and foremost - imports outside the country is another kind of market for them.
of course bandai sunk a lot of money into the MG S/Ex-S kits, but dont u think they sunk sunk a lot of money into the more complex PG kits like the RX-78, Zaku II, Zeta, MkII. and Strike?! hey, its called an investment - and in an investment, you're already taking risks in the first place. thats what careful planning and a good market study does to help you avoid getting a loss on the investment.

true true what I was getting is in terms of financial return compared to other MG line ups the Sentinel one did relatively poor and rumour has it the project was from the beginning had quite obstacles from bean counters... so when it didn't perform as some other exclusive MG line up someone had to perform harakiri...so to speak If you look at MG line up quite number of models share similar mouldings and only few models had exclusive mouldings of their own... and Perfect Grade line up is more or less aiming for relatively smaller customer base compared to, say HGUC line up. p.s. Enough OT already. Maybe it's time to return to the topic of the thread...

IM BACK!!! hmm for me i'd make a ova about the ordinary people, the grunts who pilots the less famous GMs or Zakus... sort of like Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket but not that down to earth. their would still be gundams but the focus of the story would be the little people... accomplishing what he can with his/her GM or Zaku and contributing something to the big picture.
i guess this storyline would only be befitting a sidestory... un lang ;D
