i just kind of notice about newer gundam series in their storylines is that it's get getting focused on love triangles. . . ;D ano ano bang series yung just pure battle sequences lang, war drama and not that much focus on love except for loosing your loved ones on the war. . . so far i had watched 0080, 0083, char's counter, wing, g gundam, seed. . . and if you could be given a chance to make a new series for gundam what would be you main conflict? where will you focus the story?

if I were to make new Gundam series I will kill off entire NT kids stuff and concentrate on the soldiers and their conflict. come to think of would be interesting to make a short OVA based on the ordinary daily life of both EFSF and Zeon soldiers...

dj898yeah, we share the same sentiments. . . got enough of that "speciality" of NT. let's talk about real soldiers, boot camps, training, drills. heck, naalala ko bigla tuoy yung pilot ni grandaizer, he have to like go through an obstacle course before he could get into his mech. enough muan yung napaupo lang by accident sa cockpit and they got more than just beginners luck. . . ;D xentarfor me kasi yung strike/aegis although well i like the fight scene rin pero parang, it's more of street fighting style eh you know what i mean? maganda yun tactical fights. . .

well yeah ok lang rin, that's just the fight scenes, we're talking about storylines sana. . . an OVA for the unsung heroes would also be great. like those mechanics that fixed the suits, how'd they get to fix the armor back again ano? ano yun di pukpok? or mina masilyahan na lang tapos hilamos ng pintura, ok na, pwede na ulit sa gyera. . kasama na sa story nyan yung designer nung units, baka makapag cameo role pa si katoki dun nyehehe. . .

bit OT: has anyone seen the anime series called "Planetside(?)" or something? It's about the bunch of space debris collectors - basically janitors in space - and their rather boring daily life. Well it's actually quite fascinating seeing no heroes, no super robots... I'd like see Gundam OVA in similar concept...

The best gundam storylines would be those of the original Mobile Suit Gundam and Z Gundam.
I'll be happy when Bandai animate Gundam Wars III: Sentinel in High Quality animation that it deserves.

given that Bandai got burnt badly with Sentinel line don't think that's gonna happen any time soon///

the sentinel line was a definite hit.
anyways if you want a series that focused on genocide, deaths and numerous killings - zeta and victory is the best - some love triangles are needed to "develop" the character.

i mean in terms of financial with Bandai... their Sentinel line didn't make much of profit from what I heard...

Well, a console game was released a few years back with this type of concept. Its called "Gundam Side Story 0079", wherein the focus is not on the RX-78-2 and its pilot but on the cannon fodders of the series. In the game you pilot the RGM79, leading the "White Dingos" unit. Of course you start from boot camp, and progresses into more complex missions. The game is not all MS battles, some actions or decisions can also create peace between the opposing factions. Using brute force will not guarantee a victory too, you have to use tactics and manage your team well to win.
Unfortunately, there was no anime spin-off of this game.

The Japanese release Gundam 0079: Side Story saw the expansion disc where you can do the battle simulation against Amuro's RX-78... And then there were Gundam Gaiden series on Sega Saturn console. This one's about the Blue Destiny saga.
