My father accidentally purchased a set of Bootleg Kingdom Hearts II Play Arts last year. Now he wants to be "redeemed" by buying through a well-trusted American-based Online Store. But the thing is, he wants photographs of the actual figures being sold in the site.
My dad and I really hate e-bay auctions and online stores that uses officially-released figure pictures for their previews. They should show instead the ACTUAL product being sold in their shop.

Just wanted to share an item I saw in Cubao the toy store inside Farmers... they have bootleg Keroro Gunso figures (similar to qb's avatar) around P80. And some old stuff from the warehouse sold at a fraction of the original price...
Keroro was nice, but you have to look for the one with better paintjob though...

Balthier: just buy at online stores that are already being used by other collectors, like hlj or play-asia.
genji: can you post pics of the said shop? thanks. ^_^

Balthier: just buy at online stores that are already being used by other collectors, like hlj or play-asia Poweranime isn't bad too. We've been trusting it for years now. Also, HLJ and Play-Asia doesn't have a Normal Form Sora, Kairi and Roxas in stock.

genji: can you post pics of the said shop? thanks. ^_^ Haven't been there a couple of weeks now, but I believe it's called "Toy Palace" It's on the 4th floor on the same side as McDo (lower ground floor) and NBS (upper ground level) inside the Farmers building. It's a big store so you wouldn't miss it. And somewhere in the back of the store where faux Legos are located, you can also find the Stikfas imitations aptly named "Intellect Action Figure" at around P40. I got the black ninja...

guys, no offense meant. i know i'm not a moderator of this great forum. and i know everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion but it would be better if you refrain from giving the name of the stores that sells bootlegs. i'm sure in any way Sir Malvin has some business relations with this guys.
so if you want to share some infos regarding stores that sells bootlegs, etc, it's better to use the PM function.
from sir Protoform:Guys,
Please refrain from giving the names of stores. Remember that Malvin also has business relations with these other stores as well. We do not want to give Malvin any problems.
thank you very much. have a nice day everyone.

Duly Noted. Anybody knows if the Nendoroids from Death Note are originals? Couldn't find original pics of the box to compare the items. - a quick Google search helped a lot later on The stores sell them for 700 (L) and 1200+ (Light and Ryuk set only), and another one I've seen online sells L for only 550. I know these could be bootlegs because the originals could get as high as 1500 and as low as 1200. - - I just found out how to pick the fakes from the original Good Smile Company originals other than the price. And since it was probably missed by bootleggers; as simple as a tiny sticker on the box would differentiate them to which the unwitting buyer could mistake it for the real thing. Unless of course you manage to check the contents out of the box where some telltale signs will point it out.

If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

hehe.. well i used to believe that too. pero lately there were overruns (production excesses) that were sold there. they are rare though, you need someone inside 168 mall to give you tips when such items arrive. I see so that explains what I saw back then a saber in swimsuit with penguin ice shaver having a foil sticker of Hjapan, which I thought was odd, I was expecting to see a typemoon sticker. the quality of the fig is not really good (paint fingers ata forgot which parts) kala ko nung una nageevovle na ung mga bootlegs lolz

check the paint job, bootlegs tend to have sloppy and sucky effect. i also think that they are very glossy ooooohhhhh yeahhhhh!!! you can feel the lead ooooooooozzzzeee!!! bootlegs also have parts of a specific body with no paint (tagalog may parte na walang pintura o kulang sa pinta). bootlegs are just good for selling to masses, pangregalo lang sa mga di-masyadong interesado sa toys o kaya naman sa mga bulilit, but for a collection it is a no because sayang ang money hehehehehehehehehehehehe!!!! oh i forgot you can use bootlegs as crush dummies or freak exihibits at least thats what i did to mine (made some funny dioramas)

Why buy bootleg? I mean who in their right mind, well pardon me newbie collectors who just got duped into buying one, would buy bootleg.Seriously, why start a collection with a bunch of bootlegs. It's just unthinkable.
