Wow, nice one sir Garvy! I especially like the Dragonfly, he he he! Any news on your repainting project on Dragon Hawk? I'll PM you one of these days since I also plan to repaint my ROCC. Just need some expert advice. ^_^ Hi Mattracker, thanks for dropping by. The dragonhawk repainting project never got off the ground. I was going to have my friend repaint it but he's been very busy such that he has had no time, so the toy has been sitting on display in my room. I'm definitely no expert, so I don't think I can give you any advice worth taking! Hahahahaha!!!!! If the project does ever push through, I'll definitely post the final results here. Thanks again! Garvy

I envy you because you have the 2 best Joe vehicles IMO: Dragon Fly and Sky Striker.

I'm sure if you're patient and persistent enough, you'll get them in time!

Wow nice massive review I really love those Joes that you've got there. ;D Thanks! Yup, those were pretty much the Joe vehicles I really wanted to get. I was lucky to have found those, particularly the Skystriker, Ghoststriker, Phantom and the Rolling Thunder. Will have to take it easy for awhile with all the Christmas spending! Hahahahaha!!!!! Thanks again for dropping by.

Thanks to Papabear, I added the Locust XH-1 Helicopter to my collection! Made some minor revisions. The original canopy was very clear. I swapped the Locust canopy for the Dragonfly's which was tinted and vice versa. The overall look was very good once the switch was done. Also added the GI Joe decals to the sides (got those from the ones I removed from my loose ROCC more than a year ago (good thing I didn't throw em away!).Here's a group shot of the two helicopters!

Wow. nice collection there Sir Garvy! I've always wanted a Y-Wing. I had one, the die-cast version ages ago (when I was 6 yrs old). Unfortunately, it got lost, somewhere... Congrats, Papa Bear/Leo sold you his Locust! I'm in the process of searching a Locust, Dragonfly or the Street Fighter remold of the Dragonfly. Merry Christmas and keep it up ser! ^_^

Finally! Hasbro comes out with a Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace ring!hmmm.....mr. clean?Comparing it to the original release of Obi Wan's Jedi starfighter, this version looks to be a lot "cleaner". It looks like something that just came out of the shipyard. It's so clean that Hasbro decided to give it a white landing gear! Ok, now that really annoyed me! I can't see the rationale behind that! The old color worked, why change it? Also, the decals are somewhat lacking. This version lacks the stickers of the old version such as the stickers that show some of the internal parts and circuitry that went on the ventral side of the ship as well as underneath the pop up wings. Symbols of the old Galactic Republic at the sides of the canopy and the top, opposite the R4 unit look to be painted. The only decals it has are purely for the cockpit. The ship itself shares the exact mold the old Jedi starfighter that came out many years ago. That, to me is a good thing. If it were a new mold and there were inconsistencies with the various releases of this type of starfighter, that would have been a bummer. After all, this version of the Jedi starfighter is among the most reproduced, in different colors, for different Jedi. The docking of the ring with the jedi starfighter is pretty seamless and I believe it to have been fairly well done. Looking at this loose, I'd have to say that this version of Obi-Wan's Jedi starfighter in AOTC lacks the detailing of its older counterpart. First off, its clear that this new one is clean, not having any of the carbon scorching and streaks that the old one has. The newer version also lacks the black paint on the laser hubs. Hasbro left it in red body color. Though its cleanness is not a bad thing, I think some slight weathering would've given it more character, but then again, that can easily be done by the collectors themselves, should they choose to do so. On the plus side, Hasbro did away with the light blue colored hearest and the new headrest blends much better with the rest of the colors of the cockpit. The older Jedi Starfighter w/ the Hyperspace ring...It comes too with a small plastic stand, a flimsy plastic stand (the kind of plastic they use for packing so wings don't get bent out of shape, etc). It apparently goes towards the rear of the fighter which means the bottom part of the ring will end up resting on whatever surface you put it on. I'm not too comfortable with that as heat, wear and tear and weight could mis-shapen the ring at that part sometime in the future. I'd probably just buy that reverse tripod stand I see being sold in some specialty stores. All in all, it looks pretty nifty, although I still think its kinda pricey.

Too bad about your die-cast Y-Wing! That's a great collectible! Yup, Papabear offered me the Locust and I couldn't pass it up! Its been difficult to keep up the collecting intensity, due to so many bills to pay for, but I'll do my best! Thanks again! Garvy He he he he, my Dad still feels bad about me losing that toy. I understand your predicament but nevertheless, your collection is great and thanks for sharing it with us. Yeah, echoing V2's question: Where did the V-Wing make it's debut?

What do you mean? As in the toy manufacturer? If that's the question, its Hasbro. If you mean the ship manufacturer in the Star Wars movie universe, for the interceptor, it's Sienar Fleet Systems. For the V-Wing, its Kuat Systems Engineering. The V-wing appeared briefly in Revenge of the Sith. They served as escort fighters to Palpatine's shuttle as he rescued Darth Vader from the volcanic planet Mustafar. They were also seen doing flybys at the end of Revenge of the Sith while Palpatine and Vader inspected the startup construction of the death star.
