looks like the vehicles are a bit more futuristic as well, unlike the traditional military vehicles of the vintage gi joe line. To a large extent, I actually welcome the futuristic touch. As much as modern day, still in use vehicles look great, like the f-14 or the f-16, such designs are looking dated when put alongside cutting edge vehicles like the Raptor. Don't get me wrong though, the classic vintage 3 3/4 joe vehicles were great! In fact, if these new joe vehicles didn't have that futuristic touch, chances are that I never would have bothered using them with my Micromen. hehehehe! ;D

i would have to agree with you, garvy. i guess hasbro is now "updating" its gi joe line to reflect current developments in military technology. hope they come up with a plane molded after the joint strike fighter. (vintage joe vehicles wouldn't have worked as well on micromen...hehehe)

i've been checking out the new sigma 6 series - seems like it was made by a japanese animation company (Gonzo) and it looks pretty good. anyone ever seen the series itself?

Here's some stuff I got over the weekend! GI Joe Sigma 6: Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank (boxed)I haven't had the chance of really playing with this one yet but from the looks of it, its cool! I still would have hoped that this came in the traditional black but I guess this is tolerable. The rear section opens up and can be detached to form a mobile outpost. I'll take more pics and post them when I get the chance. GI Joe Sigma 6: Street Razor (loose)Here's another cool Cobra vehicle! As pictured above in its "high speed" configuration, the vehicle does have another mode. The two front wheels are hinged on bars that connect to the main body of the vehicle. These bars actually pivot raising the profile of the street razor for attack mode. The two red tubes are actually concealed missile launchers. When a button atop the street razor is pressed, the launchers raise a notch, revealing the missiles. If pressed again, the launchers rise yet another notch and fire the missiles! Of course, if you press the button strongly enough, the firing can be done in one motion. GI Joe Sigma 6: Winged Fury (boxed)GI Joe Sigma 6: Winged Fury (loose)Ok, my personal story on the Winged Fury is a bit funny. The whole reason why I got into the Sigma 6 2.5 line was due to its mix and match possibilities with my 3 inch Micromen. The previously released DragonHawk and Night Ops Vamp proved to be fairly good matches, a bit of a tight fit on the Vamp, but a fit all the same. Of this new line pictured here, my first priority was the Winged Fury! I was so excited that I actually got two of these! Lo and behold, when I opened it, fitting a 3-inch Microman inside the crew compartment was IMPOSSIBLE! The crew compartment is built for two Sigma 6 2.5 inch figures. Annoyed and challenged by this problem, I took one of the two Winged Furies I bought and decided to be adventurous. I took the vehicle apart to check if I could customize it to at least become a single seater attack copter for my 3-inch Microman. Ultimately, I ended up severing the backrest portion of the front pilot seat. I left the remaining stump in place. I then severed the rear pilot's control stick from the rear of the pilot seat, then superglued the backrest to the rear part of crew compartment. Thankfully, this experiment worked and what you see in the pic above is the result. For now, I'll leave the other Winged Fury alone! Hahahahaha! Also, just a note, this copter is essentially a shrunk down version of the Rhino copter that was done for the 3 3/4 inch Joes. I found that the gun attachments are, again, shrunk down versions of what one would find on the Rhino. So, I can only hope that Hasbro will eventually manufacture the Rhino in the 2.5 inch scale. Ironically, when I check the mall Friday, the Iron Hammer wasn't on the shelves. Then, when I checked again yesterday to buy an extra Winged Fury, there it was and I just picked it up on impulse! This mech is very cool! It has other attachments apart from what is pictured here so the attachments can be changed depending on the mission profile. Its also quite a sight to see the DragonHawk hauling the Iron Hammer into play! I also got this for use with my Micromen. There isn't enough legroom so if one takes a look at the picture above closely, you'll see that the Microman has his feet on the dashboard. Despite the mix and match problems I've had, I still love this line! The great thing about it is that when I can't appropriate certain Sigma 6 vehicles for my Micromen, I can always switch hats and really use these for real Joe Sigma 6 playing!

another fantastic and massive haul, bro. ;D like the paint job on those elite troopers. is that a camo pattern? one question, bro: are star wars figures now as poseable as gi joes? i remember back in the 80s that they only had limitd articulation, which made me decide not to collect them. and nice hiss tank. i like the new design and the fact that it can accommodate troops in the main body. quite and improvement on the old hiss and hiss 2.

Wow, nice one sir Garvy! I especially like the Dragonfly, he he he! Any news on your repainting project on Dragon Hawk? I'll PM you one of these days since I also plan to repaint my ROCC. Just need some expert advice. ^_^
