I don't paint a whole lot in one seating so the small compressor is perfect.

bro, tell your friend to resize it to 100x100 pixel and save it differently so that it could fit the avatar perfectly. right now, the image is kinda 'pixelized' due to compression. it will get 'clearer' if you have an exact size for the avatar.
