another question, is it ok to just have a basic single action airbrush just to make sure my kits have a uniform coat of paint?

yes, because it would really depend on your skill on how you paint your kits, even if you have a double action a/b.

"monster" kits you say. . . but really try to look for great deals on dual action a/b, it would really be worth it. . . right now am saving up and will be waiting for a good deal to come.

I can hardly find any time to visit Recto for Enriquez Art Supply, is Tamiya Sprayworks a good set for a beginner? I wanted to take my Zoid painting skills to the next level but I do have budget concerns and besides that I can hardly find any time to go to Recto, so I guess my best bet would be Lil's in Glorietta.
can anyone comment on the Basic Sprayworks set (a/b+compressor)?

I have the Basic Sprayworks set and it works just fine for me. I just have to get the hang of the single action airbrush it comes with. A dual action will come next once I master the single action.

A dual action will come next once I master the single action. my advice for thos who doesnt have an airbrush yet is to start with a double action airbrush. kasi when i started airbrushing i bought the Badger spray gun set (single action) and used it for like a week then moved on to a Badger 155 (double action). and its more economical to start with the double action rather than buying a single then a double diba? ;D

A very valid point, Checkmate. In my case though, since the Basic sprayworks set already has a single action, I might as well master that first. Although a dual action brush is better than single action, I'm not financially prepared to get a double action yet.

Well others also told me to go for a double action one to save up, but I don't really find myself using or spending for one. So I guess I'd go for the Tamiya Sprayworks now. Any ideas on the price of it?

When I buy the Tamiya SprayWorks Airbrush and compressor, does the set already have what I need to operate it?
Do I still need the power adaptor?
Does the set have english instructions?
