Is it possible to remove those seam lines w/o repainting ?
If repainting is needed, only on the affected area's right ?

here is a link po for your question ;D www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/585/Gundam/anyway what the guy said is glue them then sand. you can use the tamiya cement and sand paper with 2000 grit. another useful method. kitbash.net/howta/howto.htmljust dont follow up to the painted part ;D he used "Plastruct Plastiweld" to join the parts together. its like melting the parts. then he scaped the melted parts to even it up. imo this method is better than the first. (in terms of removing the seams) but more time consuming and harder. this may also make the color of the parts lighter after scraping. this is the time when you repaint only the affected area. hope these helps Is it possible to remove those seam lines w/o repainting ? can the cement then sand steps be used on smaller kits like 1/144 FG & HG? i read somewhere that the cement could whiten the plastic? is that true? as far as what I can see from danny choos site, he's built mostly MG & PG.
thanks!

it should work with 1/144 kits. just be really careful when gluing and sanding.

so the plastic won't whiten if i apply cement on it & then sand? can i still do it if the kit is already built?

To answer your question; take a look at this hguc 1/144 dom leg that I modified, sanded the spure cuts and glued some parts. minimal discoloration can be seen on the part that was sanded. Solution to that is to sand all areas so that the discoloration will be equal. In my opinion I don't use 2000 grit sand paper cause 1. that is hard to find and 2. if you manage to find one the price is very high compared to what 10 or 15 pesos? There I hope that helps.
