ok so i tried leaving the plastic pilot figure of a 1/100 scale model and sprayed a thin amount or primer and in less than 3mins i left the figure in a cup of zonrox and left for school, and now ive returned home to find that not even 25% of the paint is removed.. i tried brushing it with a tooth brush.. a few came off.. the pilot is still covred with more than 75% primer til now..

hmmm. zonrox does not work well in just a few hrs time...(but in my hobby color paints it does) but its safe... anyway try using 90% alcohol... just by wiping it will remove the paint instantly. ok so i tried leaving the plastic pilot figure of a 1/100 scale model and sprayed a thin amount or primer and in less than 3mins i left the figure in a cup of zonrox and left for school, and now ive returned home to find that not even 25% of the paint is removed.. i tried brushing it with a tooth brush.. a few came off.. the pilot is still covred with more than 75% primer til now..

yes i got tons of 95% Isoprophyl alco.. they do dissolve very very fast, placed them in a botte ( Sola bottle ) and just kept on shaking around.. most parts got a few spots of left over primer.. i guess its time to leave this on the bottle for 2~3 days.. changing with a fresh alco every 24hours

use simple green or pine sol. expensive but you get more paint off in a few hours.

i haven't tried 95% alcohol. but they work for me. so totally stripped? coz 95% IPA still leaves some residues around... anyway can i ask for a picture of what the container looks like ?

@ neodark: it is not totally stripped but it makes the paint really soft that running water and a toothbrush will reveal totally clean, and good smelling plastic.

If it can 100% strip the paint with a simple brushing then its way better than 95% IPA.. have you tested it on some parts and totaly removed the paint/primer? for the IPA i had to resort to sanding some parts as it cant remove some spots with primer/paint

@ neodark: many times, it works. I have been a miniatures modeler for a couple of years so I really have a lot of faith in Simple Green and Pinesol.
