RainerO: Thanks pre. I want to have Macross kits also. but only the cheaper ones. I don't think I can afford to buy more than one Yamato model hehe. @yzak: Thanks for the info bro. You mean nudity like in Gundam V? I already bought box set 1-4. @qb: Thanks bro. These are available here at Virgin Records, Abu Dhabi. I might buy the Ultimate Edition Transformers the Movie DVD also... Are you interested? The other DVD box set costs around php1,100 I didn't notice the price of this one though.

Based on the photos, I'm guessing Robotech boxes 1-3 contain the Macross Saga (which is the reinterpreted original Macross series), 4 and 5 is Masters (the reinterpreted Southern Cross), and 6 and 7 is The New Generation (the reinterpreted Mospeada). So if you want to go for the original Japanese versions, get Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada, but you'll have to find the original Macross series too. Because if you get boxes 1-3 of Robotech instead of Macross, ideally you'll need everything else to complete the entire story. On the other hand, like I said in my previous post, the original Japanese Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada have no connection whatsoever.
I've seen the entire Robotech series (around five times, actually), the original Macross, and Mospeada. I haven't seen Southern Cross yet (except the Robotech Masters version), and while Robotech has its merits, I think the original Japanese series are the way to go. And yeah, Mospeada (unlike the edited Robotech boxes 6-7) has some nudity a la V Gundam. ;D

I think I'm gonna have to buy Sothern Cross and Mospeada too. too bad the original Macross is not available.

@ Eva:
After seeing those DVD pics... I have no idea who's the official distributor of Robotech(Macross,Southern Cross,Mospeada)... but as far as I know if the distributor is ADV they re-release Robotech a dozen times... that's why be careful on choosing... I recommend you to find the this:
Robotech Re-mastered version the entire collection... it has all the saga's from Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeada... crisp animation and 5.1 surround..
Another version are: (note you have to buy this by sets) This story what intended to be not the Robotech edited story...
Macross Re-mastered version... crisp animation, 5.1 surround, with Japanese language and English with Mari Iijima(Minmei) rephrasing her role as Minmei in English dub...
Sounthern Cross Re-mastered version... same as above newly dub English...
Mospeada Re-mastered version... same as above....
As for the Infinite Ryvius Bandai Entertainment released a complete set of that in compact form...

@qb: I might as well buy it.. who knows.. I might sell it someday @raps: Thanks for the advice, bro. If you can see, there is Harmony Gold and Madman Entertainment logo on the boxes. Does this mean they are good?
