I liked the new trailer, but I'm a bit disappointed on the venom costume...It would have been cooler if they based it on the comic-book...

i think having the Sandman, hobgoblin plus venom is too much.(look at what happend to Batman in Batman forever and batman and robin,to many villians..) i think venom will rise as eddie brock's sybiote by the 4th installment. but sam raimi(director) and tobey maguire are only in contract till the 3rd! but who knows, as long as tobey and sam are making $$ i don't think they'll complain. my two cents

How about Batman Returns? it had two villains diba? It almost worked but then again Burton screwed it up. Sam Raimi is different. Waaay different than Shumacher and Burton that are'nt comic book fans like Sam.

Spiderman's strength is in the storytelling and direction. The special effects and costume design are just add-ons. We'll see next year if Sam Raimi can pull this off... I'm betting that he will.

I liked the new trailer, but I'm a bit disappointed on the venom costume...It would have been cooler if they based it on the comic-book... or maybe... just a thought... that the traditional Black Costume design will be implemented when Eddie Brock get the symbiote. i think Sam Raimi did it intentionally based on logic. when the black symbiote came on to Peter Parker it just transform the Spidey classic costume to black/silver to make it look like a 'bad/corrupted' Spidey. my impression, on the last part of the teaser -- "Yin-Yang".
and when the symbiote transfer to Eddie Brock, maybe, it will transform into the Venom costume that we know. the classic sleek all-Black with big White Spider logo on front & back.
...just a thought.

The special effects and costume design are just add-ons. We'll see next year if Sam Raimi can pull this off... I'm betting that he will. what i notice in the recent Superhero-based movie industry is that the creative people including the producers and directors are now listening to the fans. they even talk to the fans. they attend conventions, forums, fansites, etc. they asked: what the fans' want. what the fans' expectations. what the fans' needs, etc. which, IMHO, is a great thing for us, 'FANs'.
not like before, the producers/marketing people/company execs dictates the directors/writers to do what they want. they only think how to sell the franchise, toys, product lines, etc. in which Batman Forever/Batman & Robin suffered from.
so for this Spider-Man movie on having 2-3 villains is worth waiting/watching for. i, for one, am always excited reading comic books that have a lot of villains attacking the hero at the same time. and that usually happens a lot in Batman & Spider-Man comic books. and as far as Sam Raimi's track record on Spider-Man 1 & 2 are concerned, i think he will execute it very well.
my 2 centavoses.

no3ljm, that's exactly what I was thinking! You know at first fans were upset when spidey's self-invented web shooters became organic and natural to him because of the genetically mutated spider (not radio-active) but when we say the movie we all gave Sam Raimi two thumbs up! He did make good of logic! Now we see that on the black custome. Logic tells us that if you change color but retain the same features then it's virtually the same, just different colors just like cars, but if we change it completely then it's something else. Plus the original custome in black renders fantastic in computers unlike if it's completely black with white spider marks it could look like fake. Three villains at the same time? Bring it on! I think its good so we can explore what spider-man's reaction would be show his decision making and maturity. I think this movie is going to be better that the first two. I just wish all the cast and Raimi stay for the next 4, 5 & 6 sequels.

Joel schumacher with his BAT NIPPLES and BAT BUTTOCKS! sheesh.. I'm a big fan of Sam Raimi since his EVIL DEAD days back in the eighties, and he hasn't made a mistake so far with his spiderman series. but then again if they force venom into this movie it might be a bit premature, it's better to have him in a movie like spiderman 4 to do him justice. but then again it's just my two cents! ROCK ON SPIDER FANS, and TRUE BELIEVERS

Dr. Connor (Lizard) appeared in SM2 but didnt become a villian. Maybe Eddie Brock wont bacome Venom or no SM4. May trend na Trilogy sa mga movies.
Im excited sa black costume but not sa 'Yellow' Goblin (or hobgoblin its still the Green Goblin from SM1). Sana lang yun black costume sa SM2 nila ginawa then sa SM3 yun Scarlett-spider costume.

I liked the new trailer, but I'm a bit disappointed on the venom costume...It would have been cooler if they based it on the comic-book... I disagree, for live action, the costume would look bland if it was totally black. It would look like an all-black spandex outfit with a huge white spider on it. Some things only work in comic books like Wolverine's bright costume and masks. The only thing that I wasn't fond of was the Power Ranger-esque costume of Green Goblin. I know the regular Green Goblin costume would look goofy, but maybe they should have improved upon the armor, or get a clue from Ultimate Spider-Man and make Green Goblin look like a huge, flameball-throwing monster.
