Never kick a player's butt in front of his girlfriend. ;D On my way home i Got gang-banged on the v-hire terminal Took clean-hits and some counter hits also ;D Man i love tekken ;D

For me I think I'm still very "newbie" in the aspect of defenses. I mean I do know the moves of my opponents but I'm too slow to react even to big sweeps. That's why I'm more of a bulldog than a turtle. I've had my Baek card for some months but I've only got around 25 wins and 14 losses, and probably 8 wins were from the persistent kid who kept on fighting me when I first used the card. What annoyed me is that I didn't used the card on a Tekken 5.1 machine, so no free colors for Baek.

maldito: hmm.. i wonder.. did you give mercy rounds or went all out on him? some people think its a written rule to give mercy rounds and gets angry if not given any. When we play with the regulars, we dont give mercy rounds anymore unless its with noobs or play for fun. joemar: practice makes perfect ;D we wall pass the noob stage then get better as we play more. Get this, i once walked from my high school campus to the local mall just to play tekken tag then walk back to school again to go home. wahahahah ;D man those crazy times. kamadoma: mixing turlting and bulldoging is way better than pure bulldoging, once your opponent gets the rythm, you totaled. but thats my opinion.

Code of ethics na nating mga tekkenista yung giving mercy rounds, i apply this rule to both noobs and experienced players. Maybe that guy just got pissed bcoz he's butt got kicked in front of her GF. Grabe na tekken ngayon. Advance na maxado yung moves and gameplay. Btw, my last tekken was tekken tag. ;D

personally, i dont give mercy rounds unless the opponent asks for it. but sometimes i dont give them even if they ask for it coz i am afraid of getting hustled [they intentionally lose the first round to study your moves, ask for the mercy round to even the score then kick your butt on the 3rd round]. personally again, i dont like being given mercy rounds coz i find it insulting. if you can kick my butt, then by all means, kick it! giving me a mercy round is insulting, it's like telling me that you can beat me if you really wanted to, but you are holding back so i would last longer on the machine. i've been playing fighting games in the arcade since the street fighter 2 days in circus magic kingdom in robinsons galleria. my friend and i would spend every friday afternoon there [high school is half day on fridays] and we would play against others until the mall closed... those were memorable days. but i dont play tekken in the arcades. i only play it on the ps2. i have been playing tekken since tekken 1 came out for the ps and have been playing it ever since on the consoles. this may sound wimpy, but i grew accustomed to playing it on the ps controller, with the shortcuts on the buttons on top. it makes the linkers easier to perform. thanks to whoever started this thread. it is quite an entertaining read and i have been addicted to watching the matches uploaded on youtube. you guys are great! maldito: hmm.. i wonder.. did you give mercy rounds or went all out on him? some people think its a written rule to give mercy rounds and gets angry if not given any. just my opinioni here... if your girlfriend isnt a videogame player, i find it dumb to take her to the arcade and make her stand there for an hour while i play against other guys. i am sure there are exceptions, but what makes these guys think their girlfriends care if they got their butts kicked in a videogame? i have never gotten into a real fight over a game of tekken or street fighter but i have heard of numerous incidents from friends who have been physically assaulted by sore losers whom they beat in the arcades. what the heck is up with that?! i myself am pretty serious when i am playing against somebody, i try to concentrate and i dont "play around", but i dont raise hell when i lose. *doh!* didnt see the location under your avatar... sorry for the stupid question, but what does that tape mean? does it mean the guy put the tape on the slot to make others think it's busted and therefore he can play unchallenged? yep, player 2 has a tape on the insert coin thingy. so I decided to wait the guy to finish, when I sat down, that same guy took of the tape and beated me. as my friends say, baek's moves are quite linear too.

maldito: ok, standard rules... so ergo... sore looser? ;D well those we know and know each other in tekken DR dont give mercy rounds anymore... but to those we dont know, we give mercy rounds. if you can, try visiting times when there are hot battles and you'll see us not giving mercy rounds anymore hehe ;D but if there are card / rank battles involved... no mercy rounds overrides our thought tekken tag? ahhh i left that game hmm.. 2 years ago? lol the system now and then are totally different. no more d+1, d+4 spamming! ;D warchimedes: mercy rounds are totally up to the person or local arcade rules. but what pissed me off is people tend to force you to give mercy rounds.
