Underworld Awakening
For the followers of the series, the action does not disappoint. Story wise though, it's like the Resident Evil movies, just watch and enjoy. Nothing to absorb here since it's a "rescue mission" movie which ends with a possibility of a sequel...
I took the Starmall EDSA route, not because it's only 155 petot with free popcorn, but let's face it this is no Harry Potter or Twilight Saga you'd want to watch in an expensive cinema. Although the comfy seats of Cinema 3 is better than the older seats in Megamall.
Overall I'd give this a 3 out of 5. There should have been more to the story than lame "I've seen those before" action scenes.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance Philippine Premiere 15 Feb at Glorietta 4. I liked the film only because I'm a GR fan. The film failed in the story and storytelling execution department. The visuals were actually dizzying at time (especially on 3D). And I honestly do not agree with the lenient PG-13 rating - there were several scenes too horrific for kids - parents be warned. But I loved how the film depicted the new GR. He's more demon-like, very brutal, and he looks even more bad-ass as opposed to the first GR with his charred black skull and burnt jacket. I'd still recommend seeing this film for Marvel and GR fans. Forgot to mention how awesome the poster artwork looks.

^Couldn't have said it better myself. I like the first movie, but this one blows me away. This is how the Ghost Rider should ride... hoping for more since this one made it big at the box office... Battleship
Skeptical on how the movie would look like when it's idea is based on the board game? Watching this movie made me love the board game even more. It was awesome. It will not be shown in the US until May 18th so were getting an early screening.
The alien shield generator looks like the board game viewed from the side and they actually "played the game" to show the connection between the board game and the idea for the movie...
Scarsgard must have gotten this role to boost sales from his "True Blood" followers, including Rihanna. Both can be replaced but kudos to Rihanna, she does have a good acting skill going for her.
Nice "shots" of Brooklyn Decker made it all worthwhile too. Thankfully they didn't give here an overall to cover her figure.
Nice depiction of a dumb robber similar to the Youtube video also seen in Jay Leno's Tonight Show.
Most of all I love how they showed the USS Missouri, I love this ship since it's the first ship model kit I built as a kid.
Overall I'd give this a 4 out of 5. Just watch the film, OK?

Thanks bro Gane. BATTLESHIP: I think what sold me the most for Battleship was the well told story. The classic David vs Goliath premise where the day was won by tactics rather than brute force. The war vets scene was awesome, I even heard clapping in the theater during this scene. AMERICAN PIE REUNION: I don't want to give too much away that it might spoil the film for AP fans. Simply put this film is hilarious. A perfect finale to the popular franchise. And with an R-18 No Cuts rating, it's a no brainer must-see asap. Two notes: 1. Stay awhile for the secret scene. 2. It may be a good idea to brush up on past AP films since the film does pay a lot of reference to them.
