Toy's R Us is not known for cheaper prices anyway. It's going to be a Toy Kingdom with a different name.

yap, June 30 at Robinsons Galleria.. dont expect any new stuffs for Toys R Us, it will be similar to Toy Kingdom in terms of contents, only in a different shop name.. I always knew that would be the case. As a Transformers fan, I doubt I'll be seeing TFs in malls regularly (and not the once in a lifetime we're currently getting) until the movie hits next year. Probably all the toys they will have are the same thing with the rest: If a toy doesn't have a show on TV as advertisement, tough luck for you. And about the prices, that's pretty much correct. When I was in HK two years ago, the prices of toys in collector shops were cheaper than the ones in TRU. The difference is small, but personally I think it is embarassing that a major retailer who buys toys wholesale can't afford to compete with small hobby shops who probably buy a couple of cases at a time. |

Kaya siguro, Robinson's Corp got the global franchise for Toy's R Us. Before, Toys R Us had really good toys (back in the 80's) but if the stocks of TRU is just similar to TK, bakit pa? |

The Nova Fontana branches that I used to go were in Ali Mall and SM City. Those were the days, nakaka-miss ang 80's and maging kid ulit! ;D

I remember in SM City carpark, they were having a sale around 1989(base from my receipts). I bought kasi the TF Pretenders, Spike Trike(from Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors), and G.I. JOE figs. sabi kasi ng Sales Lady lapit na daw mag sara yung store kaya some items were on sale. Pero somewhere in 1990 open pa yata sila! Moderator: Sorry for the off-topic. |

kinda off-topic pero speaking of old toystores.... has Alemar's actually closed or has it mutated into a dull and boring shop kaya hindi na nababalita?
they used to sell lots of sentai and popy stuff way back in the 70s and early 80s. i got my changeman/dynaman coloring book there when i was a kid. i participated pa nga sa contest ng custom christmas cards before on that store! ;D
